Visitor aids

A tactile and Braille booklet is available from the monument reception desk.

This booklet presents the floor plan of the house and gardens and various objects from the house, using high-contrast photos.

Parking

  • There is a free municipal car park around 60 metres from the reception building.
  •  Two parking spaces 60 metres from the building are reserved for people with motor disabilities.
  • A drop-off point is located near the public toilets, around 70 metres from the reception building.

Access to the site

  • Access to the site is either via a staircase with three steps leading up to the reception area, or via a path to the left of the building which avoids the steps.

Access to the tour

  • From the reception building, you enter the gardens. A flat path for around 25 metres ends at a slope of 15% for 25 metres to reach the house.
  • The paths in the gardens are on stabilised, sandy or barky ground and can have gradients of over 8%.
  • The most comfortable route is on sandy ground, around the flower-filled terrace in front of the house and along the seafront promenade.
  • Access to and from the house is via a short incline of over 5%, as is access to the kiosk.
  • The path between the house and the flowered terrace is made of slightly rounded stone slabs.
  • All the rest areas are in the garden, with benches featuring backrests and armrests.
